You may be too old for trick-or-treating, but you’re NEVER too old to throw a fantastic Hallowe’en party!
On an episode of Suite Living, I show how to pull together a fun and spooky, yet sophisticated, Hallowe’en party tablescape!
To start off this look, I used a plain, white tablecloth. Now, of course, a plain white tablecloth doesn’t really scream “Hallowe’en”! But, wait – there’s more! I added strips of black tulle that I snipped and ripped in random places to give the surface of the table more dimension.
For a fun backdrop, I inflated lots of small, black balloons and taped them to the wall to spell the word “BOO”! For some contrast and texture, I flanked the balloons with canisters of found twigs that I spray painted black.
Layered Décor and Festive Food
Next, I added in my No-Carve Pumpkins and my Hallowe’en Candles that I made in previous Suite Living episodes. And of course, what is a Hallowe’en party without some frighteningly fantastic food! I kept to a black and white theme for both the food and décor. To learn how to make the ghost meringues, mummy cake-pops and graveyard popcorn, check out my friend, The Domestic Geek, on YouTube!
I hope that I’ve inspired you to get decorating (and baking!) for your very own, unforgettable, Hallowe’en party!
